Anphis enhances FruitMeasureApp for more accurate agriculture

🌱 We hear a lot about AI lately, but how to apply it in agriculture to improve efficiency and accuracy? 🍏📱

We are pleased to announce that we are working on the redesign and optimisation of FruitMeasureApp, a prototype mobile application based on artificial intelligence for the accurate measurement of fruit size in the field.

This project, developed in collaboration with the Agrotics and Precision Agriculture Research Group (GRAP) of the University of Lleida and IRTA (Institute of Agri-Food Research and Technology), represents a key step towards a more efficient and sustainable digital agriculture. 🌍🚀

The aim of the project is to improve the usability and functionality of the application in real conditions, optimising its performance and facilitating its access to the market. FruitMeasureApp uses advanced neural networks to accurately estimate (📸 through a photograph) the diameter of fruits, replacing error-prone manual methods and saving time and resources in the field.

📌 What improvements will be incorporated?

✅ Redesign of the interface to improve the user experience on Android and iOS.

✅ Optimisation of the calibration process with a 3D accessory that can be attached to the mobile phone.

✅ Upgrade of the YOLO neural network to improve detection accuracy and speed.

✅ Addition of new functionalities such as histogram viewer and data export.

✅ Simultaneous measurement of multiple fruits in a single capture.

✅ Publication on Google Play and App Store for free distribution.
